Some patients experience temporary sensitivity after veneers or crown placement. This may happen depending on the amount of enamel remaining on the tooth,the closeness of the restoration to nerve, or other reasons. To control sensitivity, avoid very hot and cold food or chewing/biting into something hard. Sensitivity ceases within a few days or, at most, a few weeks. If prolonged sensitivity occurs, consult your dentist.
